Google Update: Compatibility with Mobile Devices

In the last few days, a new update was observed in the Google search engine, regarding the compatibility of web pages on mobile devices.

There is still no official information from Google, but everything indicates that this is an important update that will affect organic results.

What you Need to Fix on your Site to be Mobile Friendly:

1. Non-use of Flash Technologies

Most mobile browsers do not support flash. Instead of flash you can use html5 and javascript.

2. Viewport not Configured

Add the meta viewport tag to all pages of your site. Thus, browsers will determine the dimensions of the page and adapt them to mobile devices.

3. Fixed-width Viewport

You should create a responsive design for your site by determining the dimensions of the page according to the screen of mobile devices.

4. Content not Sized to Viewport

The content of the pages (text, images) should be easily readable by mobile devices, without the user having to scroll horizontally.

5. Small Font Size

The font size should be appropriate so that the user does not have to zoom in to read the content of the page.
